“Southern Hindutva-Biased and bigoted Media –NDTV’s latest jargon on BJP- “Southern Hindutva

To day morning I woke up to another clarion call from the secular citadel, NDTV.

The news caption read “BJP’s southern Hindutva at Work”

I was taken aback and spring in to surprise. Till now I could not digest the newly coined jargon “Moditva” coined by the so called secular media. Now another novel one named as “Southern Hindutva”! This news report discussed the aftermath of second phase of Elections in Karnataka particularly the coaster belt of Karnataka and the reportage in fact accused the BJP of resurrect to Hindutva to win the elections. The local Mangalore BJP leader Mr Nagaraj Shetty has been dubbed as communal, compared to Mr Naredra Modi, and called as "Narendra Modi of Mangalore"

Could there be a Southern Hindutva or Eastern or Western Hindutva’? Funny is the ways of our Pro-congress lenient media. Apparently the charges leveled against the BJP in Karnataka by this secular media is one opt repeated charge i. e “communalism”. When indications are very weighty from the exit polls in Karnataka indicating a comfortable win for BJP the secular media fastens their straps and swung in to action. Negative and communal propaganda! A dozen article if written in their own way cascade in to believing the lies spun around and circulated wildly, then  it is expected to yeild the desired result for them.

Mr Nagaraj Shetty the local BJP leader was compared to Mr Modi and termed him as “Narendra Modi of Mangalore”

Funny are the ways of our secularism!

NDTV report was critical of BJP for re-building dilapidated and ruined Hindu Temples in and around Mangalore and Udipi. This way the BJP was moving in to the hearts of Hindus and now  as a result on the verge of winning the elections in big way!

So what is wrong in it! How this action on the part of BJP can be termed as communal?

Let me provide the readers the real facts and figures behind the conditions of ancient and sacred temples in Karnataka before we go in to the false allegations of NDTV.

  • 5000 Temples in Karnataka were at the verge of closure due to paucity of funds
  • There are around 2.5 lakh temples in Karnataka
  • Karnataka is the 4th State in India having highest number of Temples
  • The annual collection from temples of Karnataka is around Rs 100 crores
  • 70% of the revenue collected from Hindu Temples is spent by the Government of Karnataka on Haj Pilgrims
  • See the chart below:

"There are as many as 2, 07, 000 temples in Karnataka and the total income of these temples amounts to Rs 72 crore only a sum of Rs. 6 crores is being spent by the Government for their upkeep. On the other hand, the Government spent a phenomenal amount of Rs.50 crores for the madrasas and Rs.10 crores for the churches, and for the Hindu temples only a partly sum of Rs.6 crores is being spent". - Sri Sri Ravi Shankar (Art of Living Foundation) from Arsha Vidya Newsletter of Dec 2003).

So My dearest Ms Barka Dutt pl do not overdo it. Be kind enough to Hindus too. The real predicament is despite all these hypocrisy and prejudice and perjury of your secularism

Hindus would always remain innocent and never ever got carried away by the hype of Hindutva.

Whenever, wherever, Hindus had voted to BJP, anti-incumbency was always the sole factor, but not Hindutva.

The multifold increase in conversion activities across India, the encouragement provided directly and indirectly to such activities by the UPA Government, the unabated utterances by the Mu Karunanidhi on Lord Ram and Ram sethu isuses in the past, now left a mark even in Karnataka Elections. The media is now trying to divert our attention away from the hurt caused to Hindus, and trying to give an impression as if the BJP is winning seats by offering BEER and BIRYANI.

The sheer disregard of Hindus sentiments for a long time would bound to bounce back and it would take its toll one day.  That day probably nearing fast!
